Sutton Kersh raise over £32 million in 2017 so far

Sutton Kersh held another 100 plus lot auction this week (Thursday 14th September).

The auction got off to a quick start as lot 1, 9-11 Lorne Street, sold for £105,000; double its guide price.

A standing room, and plenty of phone bidders helped raise £5,200,000 and rising. 

Cathy Holt, Associate Director at Sutton Kersh, said: "Each auction gets bigger and better!

"We’ve had a fantastic year so far, we’ve sold over 500 properties, raising over £32,000,000. We still have a further 2 auctions to go… 2017 could be our best year to date!"

The highlight of the day came deep into the auction when lot 105, a three-bed semi-detached property on Rangemore Road, Mossley Hill, Liverpool, sold for £266,000. This was a rare opportunity to turn the property into a family home, in a sought-after location. The lot eventually sold for £66,000 above its guide price.

Other auction highlights include:

  • Lot 5 - Wicksten Cottage, a two-bed double fronted cottage in Runcorn, sold for £105,000; double its guide price.
  • Lot 9 – 71 Orrell Lane, a three storey six-bed property in Liverpool, sold for £100,000.
  • Lot 29 – A three-bed duplex apartment in Prenton, Merseyside, sold for £75,000.
  • Lot 33 – A mixed use property in Bootle, Merseyside, sold for £75,500.
  • Lot 50 – A three storey dormer style property in Wallasey, Liverpool, sold for £112,000.
  • Lot 54 – A vacant plot of land along Coltart Road, Liverpool, sold for £275,000.
  • Lot 58 – A three storey property in Birmingham sold for £176,000.
  • Lot 77 – 25 Fairmead Road, a semi-detached property in Liverpool, sold for £65,000.
  • Lot 92 – 11 Ledsham Road, a three-bed property in Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, sells for £132,000
  • Lot 102 – 12 Speke Road sold for £55,000; over three times its guide price.
