Sutton Kersh offered 99 lots at their May auction, and after strong bidding from a packed auction, over 70 lots were sold, bringing in sales of over £4 million so far, with sales figures still rising.

A selection of three bedroom residential investment properties sold for a considerable amount more than the suggested guide price including lot 65, a three bed in L4 that sold for £20,000 more than expected. Also Lot 91, a mid terrace located in L14, which sold for £54,000, 35% more than the listed guide price.

There were a few lots that the Sutton Kersh auction team saw a lot of interest in prior to their auction and as a result there was fierce bidding on the day. These included:

• Lot 86, Wood Street, a land development opportunity for potential apartments which sold for £51,000 over the listed price
• A commercial mixed-use property located on Picton Road, Wavertree, a prime location, which sold for £35,000 over the guide price
• 70, Bertram Road, Sefton Park, a converted 3-story semi-detached hosting five self-contained flats which sold for £51,000 over guide price.

Residential properties in St Helens also proved popular, also selling over their suggested guide prices.

Cathy Holt, associate director of Sutton Kersh auctions said: "Once again another successful auction with there being particular interest in investment development and residential properties. Instructions have already started coming in for our July auction which shows us despite an air of uncertainty there is still continued confidence in the Liverpool property market."

The next auction takes place on the 14th July, at Crowne Plaza. The closing date for entries is the 17th June and they recommend instructing early to take full advantage of the marketing campaigns that run prior to each auction.
