The auction house saw £8.4 Million pounds worth of properties sold in their September Auction and once again hundreds of bidders registered for the online event.
Associate Director of Sutton Kersh Auctions Cathy Holt commented ' We were confident in our ability to sell over 75% of the 96 Lots offered but to achieve over 85%* sales in these uncertain times was a true testament to our team working hard to value and list the right properties as well as marketing the properties well to our database of active buyers. There clearly is still a demand for investment & residential properties and the Lots that saw bidding wars were predominantly vacant residential ones'
The first Lot to go under the hammer was a 2 bed end terrace house in L21 on Linacre Road. The property was in need of modernisation and full refurbishment, it had a guide price of 70,000 and sold for £17,000 over.
A star performer from the auction had to be Lot 4, Bank Street Chapel, a stunning Church in Bolton, which had a guide price of £250,000 but after intense bidding sold for £375,000.
Another popular lot was a three bedroom mid terrace property in Bootle, Liverpool. It also needed refurbishment and was listed with a guide price of £65,000 but sold for £100,000, £35,000 over its guide!
Properties in L20 & L21 areas of Liverpool appeared to draw a lot of bidders and interest both pre auction and on the day. Lot 33, in Litherland, L21 was another vacant 3 bed mid terrace which sold for £84,000 which was £34,000 over the guide price. Lot 68 A one bed flat, this one located in Bootle, sold for £30,500, which is a great investment or perfect for someone who wants to get themselves on the property ladder!
Lot 38, was of particular interest to many and this was demonstrated by the fierce bidding war that took place. The property was a two storey end terrace property converted to provide 2 x 2 bedroomed self contained flats. It also has a potential income of 10,800 per annum. It had a guide price of £75,000 and sold for £125,000.
